On 25th May a group of volunteers along with Freshtime UK Staff climbed up Mount Snowdon to help raise funds. Having had rain coming down by the bucket load in the days leading up to the event it wasn't looking hopeful, however, the morning of the 25th came and the sky looked beautiful!
After taking a steady climb up the mountain we arrived at the top at 1.45pm, in just 3 and a half hours. Unfortunately it was very cloudy and we didn't get quite the view we hoped for, but what an amazing achievement! We arrived just in time for the heavens opened and we had a little downpour, however, this soon cleared up after 10 minutes ready for our journey back down.
Downhill was much quicker (with the help of Atika and Barney pulling us along) and took little over 1 and a half hours. Feeling very tired and achy we took the half mile walk back to our campsite and settled down for the night with good friends, a lovely camp fire and takeaway.
Thank you so much to everyone that took part, whether you made it to the top or not you all did fantastic and we are very proud of you all. Thanks also to everyone that sponsored us.
The total is still to be confirmed but currently stands at around £2,300!
