The Jump
You will exit the aircraft at approximately 13,000 feet securely strapped to the front of your instructor. The instructor will control the free fall element of the sky dive and open your parachute at approximately 5,000 feet, then steer you safely back to the landing area.
Course Duration
All participants need to allow one full day as airfield planning permission allows the aircraft to fly from 9am to 8pm on a daily basis. The airfield operate on a first come basis, so it's advisable to arrive early. Doors open 7.30am at weekends.
Weather
The jump can take place in clear conditions with winds of 20 knots (23mph) or less, with the calmest winds usually occuring at the start and end of each day. If the weather prevents the jump from happening you will be given a tandem jump ticket which can be used to rebook, for any mutually convenient day, within a 6 month period at no extra cost. Please note that the Ally Cadence Trust cannot reimburse travelling costs etc if you are unable to jump. Travelling expenses, accommodation etc are down to the individuals.
