Happy New Year to everyone, we hope you all had a lovely Christmas. We wanted to take this opportunity to thank every single one of you for your support last year.
After taking a little time out in 2012 we have come back fighting strong and have achieved so much and given support to 20 families last year alone.
This would not be possible without your support, kind donations and fundraising, be it £1 or £1000, it really does all add up and helps to make a huge difference to families living with SMA.
In June of 2013 we made the decision to change the aims and objectives of the Ally Cadence Trust to support Type 1 and SMARD Children only. This was not a decision that made lightly, but one which we felt would benefit us greatly as a charity. This is the area in which we specialise and we felt that, by changing focus and concentrating on this area, we would ultimately be able to raise more awareness and offer greater support.
Looking back over the past 6 months we can see that this decision was the right one, and we are heading forward in the right direction to helping so many more families.
We will, once again, host our annual Butterfly Ball on 20th September this year. It would be great to see lots of you there and details for this will follow on another news post.
If anyone would like to get involved in any way please do get in touch via emma@actsma.co.uk whether it be fundraising or giving up some of your time to help us with admin/fundraising ideas. Anything at all would be much appreciated.
We look forward to the coming year and putting more ideas into action to help those families that need our support.
Thank you once again from all of us at the Ally Cadence Trust
